Senior Expo. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Golf Mill Shopping Center, 239 W. Golf Road, Niles. The expo is designed to link seniors who need products and services with vendors who provide them. To sign up for the screenings which will be done in special vehicles in the parking lot, visit the Niles

Lions Club table in the Food Court.  Sponsored by the Niles Lions Club, the screenings are being done in conjunction with the Lions of Illinois Foundation and the Illinois Retina Associates, S.C. Two raffles—the first at 11:15 a.m. and the second at 12:15 p.m.—are also on the agenda. Sponsored by Maine Township, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Chicagoland Senior News and the Suburban Resource Guide for Seniors, this event is still accepting applications for exhibit space and sponsors. Art After Hours: “My Name is Will” Shakespeare’s Sonnets and Songs. 7-8 p.m. at Niles Public Library, 6960 Oakton. The Shakespeare Project of Chicago proudly presents Jeff Christian, Gail Rastorfer, Mary Ringstad and Don Roden in a dramatic adaption of Shakespeare’s Sonnets and Songs. Original music by Chris Walz, adapted and directed by Peter Garino.

Take Back Day. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Morton Grove Police Department, 6101 Capulina Ave. Bring your pills or patches for disposal to Morton Grove Police Department at 6101 Capulina Ave. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps. Real Estate Investment Strategies. 10 a.m. at Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave. This workshop is designed for entry-level investors who want to grow their net worth through real estate investing. Darryl Evans introduces systems that safely and methodically implement an investment strategy. “Real Estate Investment Strategies” is part of the annual event, Money Smart Week, created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2002. Hour of Code: May the 4th Be With You. 4 to 6 p.m. at Niles Public Library, 6960 Oakton St. Grades 4-12 are invited to learn code with Star Wars! Program droids and make a game using blocks or JavaScript.

Gemini Junior High Presents Don Zolidis’ Game of Tiaras. At Apollo Elementary School, 10100 Dee Road, Des Plaines. Directed by Drama Teacher Kathy Martin and Language Arts Teacher Jordan Smith, the 26-member cast comprises a mix of seventh and eighth grade students. Tickets for Game of Tiaras are $1 for students and $6 for adults, and are available at the door. Call 847-493-8511 for more information.

So Long, Friends: An Elephant and Piggie Farewell. 2 to 4 p.m. at Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave. Join to celebrate the Elephant & Piggie series and unveil the newest, and last Elephant & Piggie book, The Thank You Book.

Scribble Monster Music. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave. Sing, think, play, dance and share with Scribble Jayne and Scribble Jim, the famous musical duo known as the Scribble Monsters.
