Country Farm Fair. 12 to 3 p.m. at Wildwood Nature Center, 529 Forestview Ave., Park Ridge. Pet cows, chickens, goats, and more in the petting zoo featuring over 20 animals. During the event, cowpokes big and small can try their hand at fun free contests like pie eating, potato sack races, tug of war, and a water balloon toss. Survivors Speak: Matus Stolov. 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at at Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, 9603 Woods Drive, Skokie. Matus was born in Minsk, Belarus, in 1928, the son of Polish Jewish parents who had fled to Russia after the 1917 revolution to build the socialist utopia. When Germany invaded in June 1941, Matus, his mother, and his older brother tried to escape eastward. They ran for a train and the two sons were able to jump aboard; when the mother couldn’t make it, Matus jumped down and stayed with her. Meet Matus to hear his unbelievable story. Free with Museum admission.

All Aboard the Train & The Sting Rays. 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Oak Park, at Main and Ottawa streets. The Great Chicago Kiddie Express Train Company will be riding kids and adults in their trackless train. The Sting Rays Band will fill the park with a variety of everyone’s favorite music from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
