The hunt for hidden oak leaves is one of the new free programs celebrating Plainfield Park District’s 50 year anniversary this summer.
Peppered throughout the parks, this oak leaves lurk in the shadows and stand proudly in plain sight. Rack up as many sightings as possible.
According to the Lambert family, who completed the scavenger hunt in June, “We learned so much about the park district such as the locations of all the canoe launch locations, the dog parks, and new parks we have never visited; we wouldn’t have found these places on our own.”
Curious community members are encouraged to pick up the helpful oak leaf guide, found at the Recreation and Administration Center, 23729 W. Ottawa St., Plainfield, guest services (front desk) or download at www.plfdparks.org.
