Dempster St. A special curator-led tour of the “Flappers and Flyboys: The Bold Spirit of Morton Grove in the 1920’s” exhibit and a screening of “Speedy,” Harold Lloyd’s 1928 classic featuring madcap adventures through the streets of New York City–and a cameo by Babe Ruth.

4th of July Niles Parade and Celebration. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parade will begin at Notre Dame College Prep and proceed to Grennan Heights Park. Follow the parade to Grennan Heights Park and enjoy the post-parade festivities. Children’s games, pony rides, face painting and raffle.
4th of July Party. 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Hinkley Pool, 25 Busse Highway, Park Ridge. Celebrate the holiday with some old fashion pool games at this family friendly event.
