There is a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

As you can see there is an enhanced risk of tornadoes and nearly a high risk of wind throughout the Chicagoland area.
Several models show a strong line of storms in northern Illinois in the early evening and the storms are expected to race southeast.
The Weather Channel has given Northern Illinois a TorCon of 6, which means a 6 of 10 chance of a tornado within 50 miles.
While the storms seems likely right now, it will all depend on what time the morning storm system clears out. If the rain sticks around to the late morning, the atmosphere might not recover in time for potent evening storms. It is best to have a plan in place in case the storms do come and it is important to have an outlet to keep you updated.
