DuPage County residents Eric Quick and Richard Wilkie broke ground May 17 on what they said is the first Express Oil Change and Service Center location in the state.
With longstanding ties to the West suburban area, Quick and Wilkie chose to open their location in Westmont because “the thriving community provided the perfect fit for this type of business.”
“Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers’ unique business model and core values that incorporate honesty, integrity and quality make it stand out,” Wilkie said in a press release. “We want to provide the Westmont community with a unique automotive experience that sets us apart, and our location will provide busy families the ability to stay in their vehicles while services are performed.”
During the May 17 groundbreaking ceremony, Westmont Mayor Ron Gunter, Village Manager Steve May, Village Trustee James Addington, Westmont Economic Development Director Jill Ziegler and Westmont Chamber Board President Al Carson joined Quick and Wilkie to celebrate the new location.
Birmingham, Alabama-based Express Oil Change is a full-service automotive chain and franchisor known for offering a 10-minute drive-thru oil change. During the service, the customer remains in the car while trained technicians perform oil change and 20-point vehicle inspection. Every location also features a full mechanical department and state-of-the-art equipment, according to the company.
Quick and Wilkie said they expect the Westmont location to open this fall.
