Illinois St. You can make a difference in your community when you become a volunteer, join a local service organization or both. Gather information while talking with representatives from over 20 different organizations that need your help to feed the hungry, nurture the environment, shelter animals, donate blood and so much more.
Coffee with the Superintendent. 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at District 202 Administrative Center, 15732 Howard St., Plainfield. All District 202 residents are invited and welcome to attend Coffees with the Superintendent. The Coffee format is open and informal. The Superintendent does not prepare a formal agenda. Rather, attendees “set” each Coffee’s agenda through their questions.

Knights of Columbus Council #5573, in conjunction with Heartland Blood Centers and the Plainfield Fire District will sponsor a blood drive. Illinois St. Enjoy your day off school by smashing, crashing and bashing your way to first place in tournaments hosted on the Wii U for Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8. Bring your Nintendo 3DS and multi-player games for additional fun playing against other attendees. Personal game controllers not allowed. Prizes awarded to winners.
2016 Friday Fish Fry. 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Parish School, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield. The Knights of Columbus Good Shepherd Council #5573 and Ladies Auxiliary will hold its 36th Annual Lenten Friday Fish Fry. Phone orders for take-out accepted from 4 to 7 p.m. at 815-436-2651, ext. 841. Please pick up by 7:30 p.m. Each week during the fish fry, a 50/50 raffle will be conducted with the cash prize awarded near the conclusion of the evening. The Ladies Auxiliary will be selling gift basket raffle tickets as well. The Knights request that all who attend please bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Plainfield Food Pantry.
