As the November election draws near, the village of Woodridge is issuing a reminder regarding the use of campaign signs.
In residential areas, homeowners can have any number of campaign signs, as long as the total sign area (including both sides of a sign) does not exceed 32 square feet. In commercial areas, the same restrictions apply, provided total sign area does not exceed 100 square feet.
Regulations pertain to the total permitted sign area for all political signs (not per candidate), and there is no time limit on how long signs can remain in place. Campaign signs are not permitted in the parkway, which is typically the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street curb.
